Wednesday Walkthrough #5

Hellllllooooooooo Everyone!!

You may or may not know this, but we totally didn’t put up a Wednesday walkthrough for the last two weeks. It’s not that we didn’t want to, it’s just that we totally forgot and we’re sorry. Mind if I catch you up on what’s been happening the last few weeks here at the SUPRnetwork? You don’t? Then please read on! If you don’t care…. you are dismissed.

SUPR Simpsons Show

Remember that Mondays are now your day for SUPR Simpsons Show, if you feel like laughing too much with Jesse and Hella Greg about a cartoon that has been on the air for 30 years then make sure you follow us on our journey over at SUPR Simpsons Show. We’re about nearing the end of season 2 with only about 28 to go (of the ones that have been released.

Here are the three episodes that have come out since we last updated the website (because we suck but we’ve established that!)

Season 2, Episode 15 – O Brother Where Art Thou. On this classic episode Homer realizes that he has a half brother after Abe tells him on his deathbed (which is totally not actually his deathbed. Homer’s brother Herb (Voiced by Danny Devito) is a rich owner of a car company that is not doing well due to their inability to connect with the every man. In come Homer Simpson who has personal hygiene that is above reproach who will design a car for Herb’s company, Powell Motors. By the time it’s all said and done “The Homer” isn’t exactly what anyone thought it would be but Whatever Homer wants. Homer Gets.

The Homer

Season 2, Episode 16 – Bart’s Dog Gets and “F”. Santa’s little helper is a special dog. As special as one that is run off by his previous dog racing owner can be. Bart has been in charge of training him and making sure that he stays out of trouble, the problem is that Bart cannot do this for himself let alone a high energy dog. Homer splurges on a pair of shoes that are destroyed by Santa’s little helper and after finding out that the return policy doesn’t cover “Acts of Dog” Homer calls a family meeting to decide whether or not SLH can stay. The decision is made to allow bart some time to train him and take him through obedient school. It’s a fun episode and We get Tracy Ullman as guest voice in this one. The Simpsons got their start as a short on the Tracy Ullman show in the late 1980’s so it was cool to see the nod.

Oh man, Homer is not going to be happy about what comes next.

Season 2, Episode 17 – Old Money. In this episode Abe Simpson is getting tired of his pitiful life and the obvious forced visits from his family. He seems to be losing hope until he meets a woman at the Springfield Retirement Castle where he lives. Her name is Beatrice and they hit it off right away, but as usual a Simpson can never have anything nice and Grandpa misses her birthday party and more. It’s a heartwarming and sad episode that also reminds us to maybe just call your parents and grandparents while they’re still around (Unless they’re major assholes then you’re probably better off.

Abe and Beatrice share a dance.

Death and Co Podcast

…is your Wednesday mistress and they are not letting you down! Since we’ve last posted there are 3 episodes you need to be caught up on!

Zombies – The ladies sit down and find out exactly how prepared for the Zombie apocalypse they, Jesse and Hella Greg are. We discuss our plans if it happens, and what other people what are thinking. They talk about ways to be prepared and the origins and different types of Zombies (and infected…. yes we know Greg). The four full-time SUPRnetwork podcasters all sit down and really talk the nitty gritty on Zombies and how we think we’d do.

Genocide – Look, there is no easy way to describe this episode. It’s heavy and it’s tough to hear. Lindsay and Bree do their best to navigate the subject sensitively while getting you all of the information that is pertinent. There is not a description in the world that would make this sound good but the ladies to a great job!

Cult Suicides (Genocide Part 2) – Bree leads us through a few of the more famous Cult Mass killings/Suicides including Jonestown and Heaven’s gate. We all discuss whether or not we believe that people who died in these cults were culpable or if the Cult leaders were responsible for all of what happened. They also talk about whether cookies can be better than sex and how macadamia nuts are just not that dope. Check them out!!

If you want to support death and co you can at their Patreon and give as little as $1/month.

Serial Chillers…

…is in it’s last week of Season four and we cannot wait for what season 5 is going to bring! Since our last post, we’ve released 3 additional episode and on Friday you’ll have the season Finale (episode 100!). Let me get you caught up on the episodes we missed here…

97: Charles Ray Hatcher – Born in Mound City, Missouri, a small town 34 miles (55 km) north of St. Joseph. He was the youngest of Jesse and Lula Hatcher’s four children. His father was an ex‑convict and an abusive alcoholic. Hatcher was bullied in school, and in turn bullied his classmates and would carry this practice into adulthood and become an American serial killer who confessed to having murdered 16 people between 1969 and 1982 (Wikipedia)

On this episode we had Bobby Roberts, Jeff and Brittany come into the studio and we had a blast talking shit about Hatcher. One of his only photos you can find just so happen to have him looking like a grown up Pugsley Addams and that makes it all the more sweeter. We had a great time with this episode and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.

Pugsley Addams….errrrrr Charles Ray Hatcher

98: Robert Reldan – Robert Reldan was in an average home and loved by his parents but they had to work hard to keep the bills paid so they were gone a lot. Not to worry though Robert was given the world by his aunt but it wasn’t enough. He would become a serial Killer and the focus of show this week. What makes it all go upside down is the fact that while in prison Reldan became a millionaire due to the fact that his wealthy Aunt had never written him out her will. Killer of between 2-8 people, this guys is a one to hate. Tune in to this episode to find out what happened to all that money!

Joined by Kolten, Thao and Charlie (some of Jesse’s oldest friends and old roommates) we really dive into the story of the kid who had it all but let it crumble due to his sick need to kill. Listen anywhere podcasts are available .

Robert Reldan

99: Some Killers

On Episode 99 it is a triple whammy as you get three killers for the price of one! Joined By Dustin, Ashley and Billy we find our way through three brutal human beings lives.

Stephen Griffiths commited The Bradford murders. The serial killings of three prostitutes in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England in 2009 and 2010. 43-year-old Susan Rushworth disappeared on 22 June 2009, followed by 31-year-old Shelley Armitage on 26 April 2010 and 36-year-old Suzanne Blamires on 21 May of the same year. Parts of Blamires’s body were found in the River Aire in Shipley, near Bradford, on 25 May. Other human tissue found in the same river was later established to belong to Armitage. No remains of Rushworth have ever been found. Stephen Shaun Griffiths, 40, was arrested on 24 May and subsequently charged with killing the three women.[4] After being found guilty, he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order (Wikipedia)

Also Featured on the episode Kristen Heather Gilbert (born Kristen Heather Strickland, November 13, 1967) is a former nurse and an American serial killer who was convicted of four murders and two attempted murders of patients admitted to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Northampton, Massachusetts. She induced cardiac arrest in patients by injecting their intravenous therapy bags with massive doses of epinephrine, an untraceable heart stimulant. She would then respond to the coded emergency, often resuscitating the patients herself. (Wikipedia)

Kristen Gilbert

Lastly We have the Story of Vaughan Greenwood (born 1944) is an American serial killer known by the nickname the “Skid Row Slasher.” Responsible for 11 murders and had one survivor. His crimes took place between 1964-1975 and it was the shortest of the stories but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t brutal. Listen where you can!

Vaughn Greenwood in custody

Wednesday Walkthrough #4

Welcome back, Party People! This is another Wednesday for you to catch up with the SUPR network. First of all, thanks for coming by the website. Check stuff out, look around a bit. Second, we have some good stuff for you this week so get ready. It’s half way over but we’re just hitting our stride.

Monday: No longer the worst day of the week, am I right? Your weekly Simpson fix is right here. The SUPR Simpsons Show is here with Season 2, Episode 14, ‘Principal Charming.’ Watch Principal Skinner fall in love with Patty as Homer is attempting to set him up with Selma. Listen as we talk about Armin’s terrible moves along the way to his eventual break up with Patty, that leads to Bart moving from Skinner’s good list immediately back to the shit list. Also, I’d like to note that it’s 2-14, like Valentines Day, and this episode is about love. I wonder if it was intentional…. Moving on!

Who doesn’t love a rotating restaurant?

Wednesday: Death and Co! They talk human sacrifices. There’s mention of torture for the lord. Was your last harvest a little light? Want to say thanks for the bountiful harvest? Either way, human sacrifice is the way to go! Try human sacrifice… On second thought, don’t. Bree explains this crazy practice to Lindsay and Jesse this week. Who would you take to the afterlife?

Sometimes it’s about sacrifice.

Last Friday you got episode 96 of Serial Chillers in which we invited my (Jesse) sister into the studio as well as the third Biggfoot sibling thus completing the trifecta! The subject of the episode Lemuel Warren Smith (born July 23, 1941),an American serial killer who was the first convict to kill an on-duty female corrections officer. Smith was already in prison for the murders of at least five people when he murdered prison guard Donna Payant at Green Haven Correctional Facility in 1981. The murder of a guard in a maximum security prison was considered shocking at the time and brought scrutiny upon the New York prison systems. Smith is considered one of the most dangerous living inmates in the New York prison system and is housed in 23-hour-a-day isolation from other people. Listen as we dive into the details of this crazy story.

Lemuel Smith

Thanks again for coming by looking at this beautiful heap of sound files and stickers and wonderful people who make it all possible. You’re really the lifeblood of…. Well, I was going to say the network, but they don’t have blood. Either way, if you’re reading this, You’re the best and we appreciate the fuck out of you. Stickers, Patreon, Merchandise!!

Wednesday Walkthrough #3

This Monday the new episode of SUPR Simpsons show dropped with Season 2, Episode 13: Homer V.S. Lisa and the 8th commandment. In this classic episode Homer decides that he is going to steal cable the exact week the Kids learn about Hell and how they’ll go there if they sin against the commandments. The 8th of which, of course, is Thou Shalt not steal. Lisa being ever the good christian (This is long before she becomes buddhist) decides that she will not partake in the cable consumption. Her problems continue when she sees how stuck the rest of her family is on the cable and she worries for their souls too. It all culminates during a heavyweight pay-per-view fight that Homer is hosting and Mr. Burns is attending (He misses the smell of men). Watch how it all shakes out, or listen to us tell you about it, either way this is a Homer/Lisa episode so you can expect greatness at some point. Listen here and Thank you for the support.

Don’t steal cable!

Today, hot off the presses you got another episode of Death and Co podcast. The ladies are setting them up and knocking them down! This week it’s about Norse Death Gods. I learned a lot sitting in with them and of course I laughed my ass off quite a bit. Bree and Lindsay weave through some of the lore and understanding of the Norse Death Gods and what makes them so gnarly! There is Merchandise Available for Death and Co and you can listen here. They are only on their fifth episode and every new podcast can use the boost of some great ratings so as we ask for each show we will request here that if you’ve listened and love the show please consider leaving a review anywhere you listen especially Apple. If you love the show you can support it on Patreon as well for as little as $1/month. We thank you for listening.

Odin and His Ravens

Last Friday you got episode 95 of Serial Chillers Podcast and it was on Marie Hilley. She is definitely not immune to the fuckface category as she successfully murdered some family members and attempted to murder others. She became several different people during our journey with her, and she may not have been so good at becoming someone else, but what she was good at was finding people that would believe her lies and some would suffer due their gullibility. There was a movie based on her called Wife, Mother, Murderer it is fairly terrible and not very accurate but it’s there nonetheless. The Best of the Documentaries (in my opinion) that I used for this research was an episode of Deadly Women on ID (if you have a cable log-in you can follow that link to watch it). Audrey Marie Hilley was awful and drug down a lot of other people with her including those closest to her. Her end came as a surprise but may not have even been possible for it to be more deserving. Listen to the episode HERE and rate and review where possible. If you’re interested in Merchandise such as T-shirts, Hoodies, Tanks, Mugs, Notebooks and more check out our Threadless Store. If you’d just like to get some of insanely High Quality Stickers you can just head to the SUPR Sticker Shop on this very website. Lastly if you love the show and want to support in the way of as little as $1/month head over the Patreon. There are some very great rewards for giving more than the minimum but we appreciate it all. Thank you everyone for the support!

Audrey Marie Hilley and Family (Audrey Marie on far right)

We record episode 100 (The season Finale this Saturday and then Jesse gets like one day off before we begin the production of season 5. We are excited about it as we have 3 returning guests that everybody knows and loves (Robbie, Paul, Jeff). SUPR excited for what’s to come and to show you guys some of the little things we’ve been working on for season 5. Thank you everyone. Don’t forget to give $5 to the patreon if you’re interested in getting Hella Greg’s new video podcast (Airs alongside season 5) to make sure you’re giving at least $5 to the show. We love all of you!!

Wednesday Walkthrough #2 (on a Friday)

Hey, Party People! It’s Greg. This is the second of many Wednesday Walkthroughs. You know, where we tell you what’s up around the network. Here’s what’s up with The SUPRnetwork this week:

This Monday on the SUPR Simpsons Show We covered Season 2 Episode 12: The Way We Was. Why do birds suddenly appear, every time I watch this episode? Oh yeah, because it’s a beautiful story of Homer and Marge meeting. Homer is and has been, at the very least, inattentive. Neglectful if you will. However, his heart has always been in the right place. He loves Marge, and has since the first time he saw her, when birds suddenly appeared. He tried to take her out, but it didn’t work. He tried to trick her, and it backfired. Traveling back to their first meeting and reliving all the moments all over again is a great way to rekindle the love of The Simpsons, like Homer and Marge rekindle their love for each other, at least once a season.

Wednesday you got another dose of Death and Co. They’re out here talking seances. Plus, Jesse and Myself even got involved. We got a chance to learn the history of the Seance as well as the tricks of the trade. Plus we all give our opinions on the whole thing, as well as learn some pretty interesting stuff about communicating with the dead. You want to do a seance with me? It’ll be spooky. Either way, this is what’s keeping me alive this week.

As far as Serial Chillers goes, we have big things this week. For Episode 95, we got the chance to welcome back Clayton and Mama Chey. They sit with Jesse 66.6 feet above my head and talk about Marie Hilley. It was back and forth. Mama Chey and Clayton really duked it out. (Sidenote: How much fun is the game show? I never remember what happened, so I get to play along when I’m editing. I must say I do fairly well. Sorry… back to this) Mama Chey brought the Story of a young man whose mother was murdered, but the killer went free. Eventually there is justice, but not in the way that you would expect. Also I bring a synopsis of the Bob Lazar story for those of you who haven’t seen the documentary on Netflix, or listened to him on the Joe Rogan Experience, or you know, been in to UFO’s or anything. It’s also something that My friend Cameron and I discussed and subsequently recorded for Hella Conspiracies (Coming to Patreon the same day as Season 5). All in all it was a great episode, which leads me to my next point.

The music we have been getting for the episodes is great. I love it! I really do! So, with that being said, I wanted to say I’m going to use what I get sent. I’m going to try to give people a couple weeks, too. That way it can be heard by people who might not get to hear it otherwise. If you’re listening and it’s not your style of music, that’s okay. Give it a shot and who knows, you might dig it. If not, there will be a new one soon, and that might be your jam. It’s just fun to hear what people have and can send in. If for some reason I forget to play something you sent me, remind me. My memory is terrible and I’m very disorganized.

This week you might notice the Serial Chillers theme song sounded much better than it ever has. The band He Who Seeks Vengeance was kind enough to make a song based on our show… from literally the other side of the world. It’s called 666ft. Deep. It’s amazing. They’re amazing, the song is AMAZING, and we all hope you love it too. You can tell them on Facebook, or let Scott know in the Facebook Group, which now almost 500 strong!!! It’s a closed group. The Mod Squad is all over it (Shout out to Geddy, Nick and Taylor). Also in this episode of Serial Chillers, we used the song Sundazed by Will Monhan. He’s a super talented dude and was kind enough to let me play the drums on this song. I’m a fan of his work, you’ve heard him before if you’ve listened to the break music this season.

Holy shit! This got away from me. Everything is going so well, Thank you all!! We can really feel the love. If you want to spread more love you can on Patreon. Please, rate and review anywhere you can. That shit helps so much. The stars matter, we like the comments. They warms our shitty black hearts. Thank you all, again, so much!!

-Greg

PS. SInce I wrote this one, you can talk to strangers. I won’t tell.

Wednesday Walkthrough #1

This is the beginning of what I hope can become a running series and I’ll try to get good about being in depth so that you guys can join us on the journey as we tackle each week. There are always several questions and a ton of things that Hella and I want to share about the process of making the shows we do, but never know where to share it or how to get it to everyone without having to tell the stories and advice over and over (not that we mind, but we just knew there was an easier way) so we decided to put together the Wednesday walk through and, if all goes as planned, you should have a new one every wednesday Just to catch you up on what is happening around the network each week, and we can answer any of the FAQ here.

This week we are editing episode 94 of Serial Chillers, Episode 3 of Death and co and Season 2 episode 12 (25 overall) of the SUPR Simpsons Show. Greg edits the Serial Chillers and death and company every single episode. He is a goddamn miracle worker and we’re all lucky to have him. I (Jesse) edit SSS and have a blast re-living the moments, I definitely got the fun job when it comes to editing.

Episode 94 of Serial Chillers that Greg is currently putting the finishing touches on tells the story of the DC snipers; Lee Malvo and John Muahammad. It was a spree that spread more fear into the DC area than I recall from when the coverage became national. I was in high school during these attacks and didn’t take as much interest in it then as I would now but remember the case nonetheless. It sent shockwaves through area and put people on edge for some time, I spent a good amount of time just reading about these guys. A lot of weeks I’ll watch every documentary available about someone before I start the reading on them. For whatever reason, I just found myself in an article rabbit hole with these guys including some of their own writings. The episode will be available for you to hear this Friday (07/12/19) and featuring the song “I know you’re out there demon” by He who seeks vengeance

In addition to the editing of episode 94 we also just recorded episode 97 of Serial Chillers on Saturday which featured the return of Jeff and Bobby (B3R) and coming up this Saturday some special guests come into the SUPRnetwork studio from southern california The return of Kolten and he brings first timer Thao. We also have Charlie who was on a lost episode and will join Kolten and Thao to see who becomes champion of episode 98.

Episode 3 of Death and Co Podcast is on Animal attacks and it’s brutal, it would have to be a 14 hour episode to cover ALL of the gnarly possibilities when it comes to being killed by an animal but the girls dive into some of the most harrowing animal deaths possible while injecting some much needed and very contagious laughter. Lindsay and Bree also welcomed Hella Greg and I back to join them on this episode so it’s a SUPR network family podcast once more and that is out today (07/10/19)

Episode 2.11 (24) of the SUPR Simpsons Show came out this last Monday (07/08/19) and is the episode “One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish”. It’s the one where Homer has poorly prepared and very dangerous Fugu and believes that he is going to die in 24 hours (22 sorry to keep you waiting). “Poison. Poison. Tasty Fish!”. Listen to us talk about the episode where Homer copes with his impending mortality as he attempts to leave his legacy on his last day. Next week episode 2.11 (25) “The way we was” where we learn how Homer and Marge met in high school.

Last but definitely not least Hella Greg is going full steam ahead on the first season of his Patreon video podcast show “Hella Conspiracies”. Please send him any and all of your favorite conspiracies. He cannot wait to hear from you. Remember to give $5 to the patreon to make sure you get this show!!!!

Thank you to everyone for the support, always reach out to us with questions and we’d love to answer them. If anyone would like to support further than just downloading the show please visit the links below. Thank you.

So I was thinking about the ocean….

Let’s talk conspiracies. There are a lot of different theories, and a lot of different sources of information. If you limit your research to one source, you’re not going to get a complete story. For example; If you think that there are a bunch of undiscovered species at the bottom of the ocean, you’d be correct. How is it 2019 and we still can’t get to the bottom of the ocean? It’s almost as if it’s being ignored. This is where the “Conspiracy” starts.

It all begins with a question. “Why aren’t we exploring the bottom of the ocean?” This is where the theory comes in. We start to answer the question with the information we have available at the time. “Water is heavy and being that far down would crush us.” But it’s 2019, we can’t build something that can withstand that kind of pressure and support someone? I’m very sure, somewhere, someone has built something that can travel along the bottom of the ocean, even if it’s unmanned. Here are a couple of examples of some deep sea robots.

Now we have to confirm these suspicions. Let’s research. Are there robots that can go down that far? Absolutely. They’re expensive as all hell, too. Some estimates put them between $10,000 to $40,000 a day to maintain and operate. Even if it costs $40,000 per day to operate, and it runs fo r365 days, that’s only $14.6m. Would you spend $14.6m for a return of billions of dollars? Who would be able to invest in something like that? I would say a corporation would be smart to do so because the value of that robot could be creatively written off in taxes.

Who would be able to afford a deep sea robot, and have an interest in what’s down there? There are Offshore drilling companies that make crazy money. For example, Nabors Industries has 400 drilling rigs in 20 countries, and the revenue for 2018 alone was over $3 billion. Transocean is also in 20 countries with 9,100 employees. In 2015 they brought in over $7 billion. They have the money to invest in these robots, to explore the floors of the ocean before they start drilling. I’m sure there’s a lot more to it than sending down a small unmanned robot, but that only further proves that with all the time and resources put in to exploring the ocean floors, surely something of note would come up.

This part here is a little bit of speculation because I have no idea how to even find stats on this, but we seem to be discovering animals and bugs on land at a pretty good rate. There are varying opinions on how many are discovered annually. But there are new species discovered all the time.

So it stands to reason that they would have a need for these robots. One of the downsides to that is that it’s not profitable for them to report finding any new species. An environmental report would have to be done to determine if the creature is endangered. There would be massive delays in the drilling, and that would cost these companies a lot of that money that they were making.

It would be in the best interest of these companies to keep any of the species found a secret. That way they can continue making money hand over fist and nobody’s the wiser. Of course, this is just a theory. It is possible that these companies have strong morals, and wouldn’t endanger an undiscovered eco system for a few bucks. Right?

Right, guys?

Guys?

Two New Episodes Dropped Today!

Both SUPR Simpsons and Serial Chillers had an episode come out today!

Serial Chillers

Episode 79: The second to last episode of season 3. We were joined in the studio by show veteran Alex (@MochaFreeman) and, on his way to veteran status but his first visit to the final transformation of the SUPRnetwork Studio, we welcome back JP (@JPGentryIndustries). On this episode we cover one of the biggest shitbags that I’ve ever had the displeasure of researching; Christian Longo. This disgraced Jehovah’s witness was a worse person than he was a business man. Constantly digging he and his family further and further into debt and running from all his repercussions. He would eventually murder his 3 small children and his wife in an act so heinous we found it very difficult not to get angry just talking about it. Check out the episode for all of the details and thank you for you support.
